"Movie Stereotypes Gone Too Far: Part I"
by Rosie

The following movie stereotypes are for movies that have any sort of action or murder involved. These do not intend on being racist or sexist, they are just the cold truth.

1. The Token Black Guy - Now, most movies only have one or two of these people in a movie. I don’t know if most directors are racist or they just do not find the need for black folk in movies. If you watch any sort of movie where a main character is expected to die, then look for the black guy. He will always be the first to go, or at least one of the first to go. If he makes it to the end of the movie then the director probably made a mistake or is just waiting until the very end to kill him. I don’t know if directors do this on purpose or maybe it’s just one big coincidence. I highly doubt it is a coincidence. You would think in a movie with primarily blacks and the “token white guy” in it, they would naturally return the favor and kill off the white man first, but no for whatever reason the blacks kill each other and leave the white man alone. I personally find that very amusing. If you have not ever seen this stereotype of the black guy dying first look at… well, I was going to name a movie but just watch any action movie with a black guy in it and he will most likely go first or second.

2. The Hot Chick - These bitches never know what’s going on and always seem to get group into trouble. Like in the movie “Dawn of the Dead,” the cute red head chick needs to go save her dog from some building like a mile away, so she steals a truck and gets trapped in a building with zombies surrounding it. Naturally the rescue team must go and save her, forcing them to fight many zombies and lose one of their own and fuck up the future escape plan. Luckily for stupid girls like this, they are hot and must be kept around otherwise they too would have the same fate as the black man and be one of the first to go. If you were cursed by god and happen to be an ugly dumb chick, well, you always die from doing stupid shit like entering dark hallways or rooms, alleys, or just walking like five feet behind the group. For the most part, the hot chick is usually blonde, sometimes a brunette, but rarely does she have black hair or red. Also, she is always white, no matter what kind of movie it is.

3. Ammo - To begin with, I find it very uncanny that everyone in a movie knows how to properly shoot a gun. To further make things less believable, not only do they have women that are very prissy shooting guns but people seem to have unlimited ammo too. I mean, someone could be carrying a five round revolver and shoot ten times before needing to reload. The common person does not usually carry a gun with them, but if we look past that then people usually do not carry extra bullets in their pockets. Unless they find random ammo on the ground and can then reload without being attacked or rushed while hiding in the middle of the street. Then we have the perfect aim. Let’s say the only way to kill your enemy is with a head shot, which last time I checked it takes more than blind luck to hit a moving target in the head, then the person will most likely land a head shot. I also enjoy seeing how easy it is too get a gun in a movie. People basically walk into a room and voilà, a gun has appeared on a piece of furniture and you know how to use it and magically you have extra ammo in your pockets.

This is only part one of my rant so I will give you a break while I perfect part two. Trust me there are many more stereotypes in movies than you can believe, and I will be the one to point them out for you no matter what it is or how obvious.
